Deer love corn the way kids love candy, but it fails them biologically. Whitetails are ruminants with complex, four-chambered stomachs. Dumping massive amounts of high-sugar corn forces a rapid shift in their gut microbes, often leading to a fatal condition called rumen acidosis. BuckBred is designed with highly bio-available fibers and proteins that work with a deer’s natural digestive system, keeping them healthy and stress-free.
No, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling a gimmick. You cannot change a deer’s native DNA with feed. However, most wild deer never reach their absolute ceiling because of nutritional gaps in native browse. BuckBred fills those voids. We don’t give them new genetics; we provide the exact building blocks required to max out the genetic potential they already possess.

RESULTS & FEEDING
Because the monster buck you want to harvest five years from now is heavily dictated by the doe raising him today. A fawn’s health, bone growth, and future genetic expression begin in the womb and rely heavily on the doe’s milk supply. If the mother is nutritionally stressed, the fawn will be stunted. By feeding the does, you are supercharging your recruitment rate and the future of your property.
Consistency is king, but there are two critical stress windows where supplemental feeding makes the biggest impact:

- Late Winter: Post-rut, when buck body weights have plummeted and native green forage is non-existent. This is when they need energy to survive the freeze.

We recommend mixing BuckBred 50/50 with your property’s current native feed or corn for the first week to let their digestive systems and palates adjust.
